What would YOU (yes, you!) like to see on this blog? As far as music genres, types of posts, comments, ect? I’m getting bored with the way things are going, and want to hear any ideas and suggestions. Plus I’m bored and want to read comments from you. Leave a note in my ask box or answer below.
So, what do ya think?
I was watching Manchester Orchestra come onto stage after Dusty Rhodes to open for BRAND NEW. That’s right. BRAND NEW. I was at a BN show a year ago. Amazing memories.
Jesus Christ (Instrumental Remix) - Brand New
i really like this.
beautiful, as always.
Dinner at 8 (Rufus Wainwright cover) - Keane
Rufus wrote this song about his dad, who left the picture at a very early age for a very long time. I love his ability to be open and emotional in his music, and I love this cover of the song by Keane.
I got this lovely little email in my inbox just now:
Hi Everyone,
We’re pleased to announce that our fifth album will be coming out this April. It has six songs and its called Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. It was recorded on a pecan ranch in West Texas by our good friend and frequent collaborator John Congleton. Esteban Rey did the artwork. The music on it feels different than anything else we’ve done before and we’re very excited for you to hear it.
Anyway, here is the track list:
1. Last Known Surroundings
2. Human Qualities
3. Trembling Hands
4. Be Comfortable, Creature
5. Postcard from 1952
6. Let Me Back In
And here are the release dates:
UK (April 18th)
Europe (April 25th)
US and Canada (April 26th)
Thanks for caring and we hope to see a lot of you this year.
Love,
Explosions
Goodness I can not wait.
Troubleshooting- Gomez
This song is nothing short of perfect… and it’s definitely a reoccurring song in my life’s musical (if I had one).
‘Cause I know, when things stop going my way… I line up all my troubles and shoot away.
As Much As I Ever Could- City and Colour
I have such vivid memories with this song, and I’m sure there are a lot more to come. It’s a good one. Can I just say that his voice is flawless, especially in context of a song like this?!
I always think it’s kind of funny when you look up lyrics to a screamy song and you see a page where someone wrote two lines of intro, and then put [INCOMPREHENSIBLE] for the rest.
